Privacy policy

The short version

PerkSwipe collects the minimum needed to run a perk tracker: your email address, and the cards and perk check-offs you enter. It never connects to your bank, never asks for card numbers, and doesn't sell or share your data with anyone.

What we collect

• Account: your email address and a password (stored hashed by our authentication provider — we never see it).
• Your tracking data: which catalog cards you add to your wallet, which perks you mark as used, and when.
• Anonymous usage analytics: page views and aggregate usage patterns (see Analytics below).
• Nothing else: no card numbers, no bank credentials, no transactions, no spending data, no government IDs.

What we don't do

• No selling or renting your data — to anyone, ever.
• No advertising and no ad-network trackers.
• No connecting to your bank or card accounts.
• No marketing emails without your consent.

Analytics

We use two analytics tools to understand aggregate usage: Fathom Analytics (privacy-first and cookieless — it collects no personal data) and Google Analytics (anonymous usage measurement, which sets cookies). Neither receives your email address, your card list, or anything you track in the app — they see page views, not perk data.

Where your data lives

Data is stored with Supabase (managed Postgres hosted in the United States) and protected by row-level security, meaning your records are only readable by your own signed-in account. Sessions use encrypted cookies. Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).

Cookies

PerkSwipe uses the cookies required to keep you signed in, plus Google Analytics cookies for anonymous usage measurement. Fathom is cookieless. There are no advertising cookies.

Deleting your data

You can remove any card (and all of its perk history) in the app at any time, and delete your entire account — including every card and check-off — yourself from Settings. Deletion is immediate and permanent. Questions? Email brian@brianbreslin.com.

If this policy changes materially, the date above will be updated and significant changes will be noted on this page.
